Stock Day Media Editorial Policy
This Editorial Policy explains how Stock Day Media originates, researches, edits, and publishes the content that appears on this site. It also explains what we do not do, and how we maintain independence between editorial coverage and any paid promotional arrangements we accept.
1. Mission
Stock Day Media provides accessible, transparent, and accurate coverage of small-cap and micro-cap companies trading on the OTC, OTCQB, OTCQX, CSE, and other small-issuer markets. Our intended audience is retail investors and market participants who want substantive coverage of issuers that mainstream financial outlets do not cover.
2. Story Selection
Stories are selected on the basis of newsworthiness, reader interest, the availability of primary sources, and — in the case of paid coverage — a determination by editorial leadership that the company and topic meet our quality standards. We do not accept paid coverage of issuers we believe pose material misrepresentation risk to readers.
3. Sourcing Standards
Wherever possible, our reporting is built on primary sources: SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1, proxy statements), official company press releases, OTC Markets disclosure documents, direct interviews with company management, and reviewed industry research. We cite our sources in-text or via outbound link. When we rely on secondary reporting, we attribute it.
4. Fact-Checking
Numerical claims (revenue, share count, market capitalization, cash position, debt) are verified against the most recent public filing before publication. Direct quotes from executives are sent to the executive or the executive’s representative for accuracy verification before publication when feasible. Forward-looking statements are presented as forward-looking and accompanied by appropriate safe-harbor language where supplied by the issuer.
5. Editorial Independence from Paid Coverage
Stock Day Media accepts compensation from covered companies for the production and distribution of certain content. This compensation, when received, is disclosed in every applicable article in accordance with Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933. See our Disclosure page for the full compensation framework.
Editorial standards apply equally to paid and unpaid coverage. We do not soften factual reporting, omit material risks, or remove negative information about an issuer in exchange for compensation. Paid arrangements cover the production and distribution of coverage — they do not purchase a specific conclusion.
6. Forward-Looking Statements and Risk Disclosure
Articles about publicly traded companies routinely include forward-looking statements made by company management. We present these clearly as forward-looking and remind readers that such statements are subject to risks and uncertainties detailed in the issuer’s SEC filings, particularly the “Risk Factors” sections of annual and quarterly reports.
7. No Investment Advice
Stock Day Media is a media publisher. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on this site constitutes individualized investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. All content is for informational and educational purposes only.
8. Author Bylines and Accountability
Every article carries the byline of a real, named individual who is accountable for its content. Author bios and an archive of each author’s published work are available via our Team page. We do not publish under pseudonyms or anonymous bylines.
9. Corrections and Updates
When we identify a material factual error in published content, we correct the article and append an editor’s note describing the change and the date it was made. See our Corrections Policy for the full process and how to report an error.
10. Conflicts of Interest
Writers and editors are required to disclose any personal financial interest in a security they cover. Editorial leadership maintains a personal-holdings register and screens assignments accordingly. Compensation arrangements at the publication level are disclosed on a per-article basis as described above.
11. Ownership and Funding
Stock Day Media is an independent publisher. We do not have outside investors who direct editorial coverage. Revenue is derived from disclosed paid promotional arrangements, podcast advertising, and select sponsorships, all of which are subject to our editorial-independence standards.
12. Changes to This Policy
We update this Editorial Policy from time to time. The current version is maintained at this URL. Material changes will be noted at the bottom of this page with the date of revision.
